For the past 30 years, the forth weekend of September has become an unmissable event in Rocamadour. This annual event showcases a mesmerizing gathering of hot air balloons, an unparalleled spectacle in Europe.
When the weather is mild, visitors can experience enchanting moments where the only sound disturbing the serenity of the place is the burner’s gentle roar. The sight of these magnificent, brightly-coloured orbs brings life to the facades of the sacred city.
Over the two days, at the break of dawn and twilight, one can witness the grand spectacle of dozens of balloons gracefully dancing amidst the cliffs and façades of Rocamadour, leaving a lasting impression on all who experience them.
